Custom & Commissions

Every piece at KB Studios starts with a story. A commission is your chance to make that story yours — whether you have a cherished set of silverware that deserves a new life, or you’d like me to source the perfect vintage piece on your behalf.

Step 1

Reach Out

Send me a message describing your idea, any silverware you have in mind, and how you’d like to wear or display the finished piece.

Step 2

Consult

We’ll chat about design direction, your silverware (or sourcing options), timeline, and pricing before anything begins.

Step 3

Create

Once we agree on the design, I get to work. Every commission is made with the same care and intention as the pieces in my permanent collection — no shortcuts, no rushing.

Step 4

Deliver

Your finished piece is carefully packaged and shipped, or available for local pickup at an upcoming market.

Common Questions

Can you use my own silverware?

Yes. You can send cherished silverware for me to transform into a custom piece, and we’ll discuss the best design during your consultation.

How long does a commission take?

Typically 2–4 weeks, depending on the complexity of the piece and my current queue. I’ll give you a realistic timeline during your consultation.

How much does a custom piece cost?

Pricing varies based on the design, materials, and time involved. Most commissions start around $25, and I’ll provide a full quote before any work begins.

What if I don’t have silverware to contribute?

No problem. I regularly source vintage and heirloom silverware and can find the right piece for your vision, with options for you to select from.

Do you ship commissions?

Yes. I ship throughout the US, and finished commissions are carefully packed and insured for transit.
